GAA LOTTO CHANGES

The lotto which has been run by Castleconnor GAA Club for the last 20 years, had only one change in that time but the club has decided to make a number of changes for 2017. This is the time of year when our yearly lotto are up for renewal and the club were excited and anxious to get the message out to all of the exciting changes that are in store.

At the recent club meeting lotto coordinator Geraldine McDonnell explained some of the changes to members, with the draw now taking place weekly. Subscribers will have the ability to pay for their ticket by cash, cheque, standing order or online. ( castleconnor. sligo. gaa. ie/ lotto_ yearly_ ticket_ 2017_ 22. html).

It is hoped this will enable our supporters near and far to get themselves a ticket. She explained further that the price of the yearly ticket is now € 75; it represents great value as you are now getting 14 free draws in the 52 weeks.

Club treasurer Darren Ruane explained that the club lotto is the largest source of income towards the daily running of the club. Gerry Healy, club chairperson stated that weekly ticket prices would remain the same but added to get it up and running there would be a draw for early yearly subscribers before this year’s first draw on June 3 for € 300 and that the lotto jackpot will be € 10,000.

The Castleconnor club would like to thank all of who currently have a yearly ticket and also to thank our ticket sellers and supporters. Thanks also to all that have bought a weekly ticket or supported our lotto in any way through the year.

A big thank you and request to support the following local business that is so good to sell our weekly tickets was also made at the launch. Thanks to Muddy Burns shop and bar, Mahoneys bar, Igoes butchers, Judges Daybreak and service station, Top Oil, Checkout, Centra, Hopkins bar, Paddy Macs bar, Hilltop grocery store and Smartlotto. ie.
