Top wrestlers in town for STOP Suicide
SLIGO Southern Hotel played host to Sligo Championship Wrestling’s most recent event on Friday evening in aid of STOP Suicide.
There were six fights during the course of the evening, with around 20 wrestlers taking part. Organiser Gino O’Boyle is thrilled with the event. “We’re absolutely delighted with how the event went.
It’s all about raising awareness for STOP Suicide. A lot of work went into it and a lot of time. But when you see it all come together its worth it. “It was a good show. The kids seemed to enjoy it and it didn’t go on too late,” he told The Sligo Champion. So far the event has raised around € 2,500, but there is more money yet to come.
Some of the highlights of the evening included The Undertaker’s entrance, which even involved a coffin.
“All wrestlers got to play their part and add their own bit in so it was really good in that respect,” added Councillor O’Boyle.
