1 GARY FEENEY MEMORIAL DRIVE

The Gary feeney memorial drive takes place on Sunday June 4th starting at St. Joseph’s Cementry, Templeboy. Registrati­on from 12pm. The drive starts at 2pm and the fee is € 15 all types of vehicles are welcome. All money raised goes to the Kevin bell Repatriati­on Trust. Gary was killed in a work accident in Saratoga New York in April 2013.

2 WALLIS BIRD

Singer songwriter Wallis Bird comes to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Friday the 2nd of June. Always able to enrapture an audience with her energy, humour and sheer passion, Wallis Bird’s visit to Sligo is one not to be missed. The Sligo County Fleadh takes place this June Bank Holiday weekend across the county. The Fleadh concert takes place at The Riverside Hotel on Friday, from 8pm, with live music events in many of the town’s pubs over the course of the weekend.

Tomorrow, ( Wednesday May 31), here will be a rare opportunit­y to see fiddle legend Kevin Burke on this side of the Atlantic, when he performs at the Hawk’s Well. 5 FORGED CARVED CAST

The primary elements of contempora­ry Irish sculpture are drawn together in ‘ Forged Carved Cast’ an exhibition by four of Irelands celebrated sculptors Orla de Brí, Cathy Carmen, Catherine Greene and Eileen MacDonagh. The artists have made a personal selection of small and medium works which will feature in the exhibition at the Hamilton Gallery. The exhibition opens this weekend.

Dark Daughter Production­s present Mother Loss, a new play written and directed by Maura Logue at the Glens Centre, Manorhamil­ton on Friday, June 3. What if the three Wollstonec­raft women – Mary Wollstonec­raft, Mary Shelley and Fanny Imlay – met in a place, beyond time and earthly bounds? What would their discourse be? Sligo Rovers play host to Finn Harps in a crucial meeting at The Showground­s this Friday evening, kick- off is 7.45pm. Gerard Lyttle’s side will be hoping for three points in their final fixture ahead of the mid- season break. 9 BENBULBEN MOTOR SHOW The 3rd gathering of the Benbulben Motor show takes place on Sunday in Grange Business Park, Grange. This is a charity event in aid of the RNLI & Grange & Armada Developmen­t Associatio­n. There will be a wide collection of Vintage, Classic, Retro and American Cars, Trucks, Bikes and Tractors there on the day. The event kicks off at 12 and continues until 12.

The 3 Counties Tour, hosted by Kevin Egan cars, takes place on Saturday ( June 3) at Sligo Tennis Club. All proceeds going to “Friends of Cregg” in associatio­n with the Innisfree Wheelers Cycling Club € 15 entry, 80km marshalled cycle.
