Rotary social

The Sligo Rotary Club and the Sligo Inner Wheel Club held a joint social evening in the Sligo Park Hotel last Thursday to support the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. The theme was Rotary going Purple for a Polio Free world and those attending wore purple. It represents the colour of the dye that marks the finger of the children who have been immunized against the crippling disease of polio. Members of the Indian and Philippine communities living in Sligo performed some native dance routines at the fundraising event.
