JP in Manchester
THERE was a good performance from a Sligo athlete in a 5,000m event in the UK recently.
JP Carty of Sligo AC was taking on the British Milers Club Meet.
The race was held in Manchester with some of the UK’s top athletes taking part.
JP is no stranger to impressing on the athletics’ track and he continued with a fine performance in Manchester.
He was 13th overall and recorded 15.31 at the track event in Manchester.
JP won the Tubbercurry 10KM event earlier this year and is enjoying a good season of racing.
