CONGRATULATIONS to our U12 Girls and Management Team on securing the Clubs first piece of silverware for the season with a 9 to 7 win in the B League final against Eoghan Rua on in Markievicz Park. Gaels just had the edge throughout the encounter with some outstanding defending at crucial stages during the game. A fine display from the Girls which saw the Club retain the B League title at this Grade. OUR U14 Girls continued their good form with a fine win away to Eoghan Rua during the week in the League. IT was mixed fortunes for our U12 Boys Division I and III squads at home to Shamrock Gaels on Tuesday evening. The older group were beaten by an excellent visiting side but its our U11 panel that continue to set the pace at the top of the Division III table with another convincing win. OUR Junior men had an impressive 0- 17 to 1- 07 win at home to Calry/ St Josephs in the Division IV League on Friday night last. The sides were level at the interval but a string of second half scores with Martin Feeney and Aaron McLoughlin making significant contributions saw the Mick McElligott managed home side make it three wins from four in the competition. Next Sunday the team are away to Coolaney/ Mullinabreena at 1.00pm. OUR senior team went down to a heavy defeat away to league leaders Tourlestrane in the 7th round of fixtures in the Division I League on Sunday. UNDERAGE coaching continues Saturday mornings. This is definitely a last call for Club registration both underage and adult. Forms will be available upstairs in Clubhouse. All Management teams from U6 to senior have been forwarded details of those registered to date by our Club registrar Niall O’Connell. The assistance of all Management Teams in finalising this would be greatly appreciated. WELL done to the Boys and Girls from Carns and Grange National schools with all four squads having good wins in the Cumann na mBunscoil competitions during the week. OUR U14 Boys have their final round fixture in the A League when they make the short trip to Oxfield this Thursday evening June 8th for a 7.00pm throw in. OUR next Club Lotto Draw take place next Monday June 12th at 8.30pm. Thank you to everyone for their continued support for this important fundraiser. Jackpot is now 2,300 euros.
