ST. FARNAN’S

THE intermediate team were defeated by St. Pat’s on Sunday in the league by 3- 12 to 2- 7. This game was played in Templeboy. St. Pat’s were first on the scoreboard with a point from a free by Padraig Clarke. St. Pat’s dominated the scoring and led 1- 3 to no score before Ciaran O’Connor got our first point from a free fifteen minutes into the half. Pat’s got a second goal in the twenty third minute to lead 2- 3 to 0- 2. St. Farnan’s got a lifeline with a goal by Keith Lang on the stroke of half time. ST. Pat’s maintained their lead throughout the second half. St. Farnan’s will be disappointed with their performance as they failed to make any inroads into St. Pat’s lead. HARD luck to our under 12 team who were defeated by Castleconnor on Tuesday. CONGRATULATIONS to St. Farnan’s girls under 12 team on winning the shield final against Geevagh on Saturday. Well done to all the winners from Ceoltóirí Tireragh at Sligo Fleadh Cheoil. Well done to Keelan Kilrehill who won silver at the All Ireland Schools Final. CONGRATULATIONS to James Hannon who won the 50/ 50 draw for a second time. James won € 186. THE club are holding a fundraising Footgolf on Sunday, June 25th. Further details to follow.
