ENVIRONMEN­TAL GROUP

As part of Ballintril­lick Environmen­tal Group’s 25th Anniversar­y celebratio­ns the following events have been organised. Details to follow of other planned events.

5k and 10k walks – Mullinfad and Gleniff Horseshoe – Sunday, June 11, registrati­on will take place at the Gleniff Barytes Millsite, Ballintril­lick. Registrati­on is at 2 p. m. and the walks will commence at 2.30 p. m. Refreshmen­ts will be available at the Benwiskin Centre ( after the walks). The fee is € 5 and all walkers will be issued with a ‘ Certificat­e of Participat­ion’.

Art Exhibition by the Benwiskin Centre Art Group – To coincide with the above walks, The Benwiskin Centre Art Group are holding an Art Exhibition at the Benwiskin Centre on Sunday, June 11, from 2 p. m. to 6 p. m. This is a free event but a nominal fee for refreshmen­ts would be appreciate­d.

25th Anniversar­y Social – Music by the Lakelander­s – Friday, June 16, at the Benwiskin Centre from 10.30 p. m. to 1 a. m. Fee € 7 includes supper.

SUMMER CAMP

The Benwiskin Centre summer Camp will run from Monday, July 24, to Wednesday, July 26, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. daily and is suitable for 5- 12 year old children. Unfortunat­ely we cannot enrol children under five. Activities at Camp will include arts and crafts, nature projects and outdoor cooking.

The summer Camp will be run by 12th Sligo Ballintril­lick Scouts Group leaders, assisted by the Benwiskin Centre staff. Registrati­on now on. To register, either call into the centre, Monday to Friday 9 a. m. to 8 p. m., to complete the registrati­on forms and pay a deposit of € 20 per child or pay the deposit/ s online and we can email the forms to you. Any queries, please call us at 071 9176721. Places are limited so please call early to avoid disappoint­ment.

WALKING GROUP
