PRIDE of place this week must go to the U/ 12 girls of C. T. Gaels who won the county league final after a hard fought victory over neighbours Tourlestra­ne in Markievicz park on Saturday last. Well done to each and everyone of the players and their management team. ST. Michaels national school boys team have qualified for the semi- finals of the Cumann na mBunscoil competitio­n, with victory over Moylough, Curry, and Cairn national schools in recent weeks, and they will now meet Achonry national school in the days ahead. The panel is as follows: Diarmuid Henry, Kyle Maloney, Kevin Carnahan, Lucas Calvey, Callum Neary, Michael Clifford, Stephen Mooney, Eamon Byrne, Kealan Moylan, Zach Clarke, Odhran Gallagher, Michael Gallagher, Rian Martin, Zac Brennan, Callum Rowley Hopkins, and Mike Quinn. The club wishes all the lads and their teachers and coaches the best of luck as they bid to keep this great run going. OUR Junior team had a good victory over Eastern Harps in the senior league last weekend and now meet St. Marys in the next round in the community park on Saturday evening next at 6pm All support for the lads would be appreciate­d. THE club are holding a fundraisin­g table quiz in Brennans lounge Cloonacool on Friday night next June 9th at 9.30pm sharp. Tables of four at forty euro per table. Their will be some nice prizes for the winners, numerous spot prizes, and a special prize for the most humorous team name on offer. All players, ex- players, parents, and supporters are asked to come along to test their knowledge, and support the club on the night. Sponsorshi­p accepted. SYMPATHY is extended to the family, relatives and friends of the late Mary Gavigan of Doomore, also to the family relations and friends of the late Mary McEneaney, Leeds, England, sister of Fr. Jim Finan Collooney, and cousin of Joe Brennan Tubbercurr­y who went to their eternal reward recently. May they all rest in peace.
