OUR senior men lost to Coolaney/ Mullinabre­ena in round 7 of the league on a scoreline of 3: 18 to 2: 10. Our Junior men lost to Cloonacool last weekend also. There is now a break in league action and Kiernan Cup will resume in 2 weeks. Commiserat­ions to our U12 girls as they were defeated by Drumcliffe in the A League shield final in Markievicz Park last Saturday. The team are coached by John O Neill and Dawn McGowan. The U14 girls had a terrific win over Shamrock Gael’s in the league played in Fr Breheny Park on Thursday evening last. All football for U16 and minors is on hold due to the State Examinatio­ns. We wish them all the best of luck. Keash pitch has reopened again after the demolition of the club house. The foundation is now constructe­d and the building of blocks will commence shortly. A temporary toilet has been erected beside the constructi­on of the new dressing rooms. Neil Molloy has supplied two timber sheds complete with benches that will fill the void until the new dressing rooms are finished. Many thanks to all who continue to support our Buy A Block Fundraiser. The girst monthly draw will be held shortly. Bingo continues every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30pm. The jackpot is € 2,000 in 47 calls or less. The in house lotto is € 300.
