Money is handed over for taxi damage

A 37- year- old man who was found guilty of damaging a taxi came up with € 1,250 compensation.

Shane McCarrick of Castle Dargan, Ballygawley had been convicted of damaging the taxi of John Kelly at Ballygawley on January

The taxi driver told a previous sitting how he had his mini van kicked by the defendant after bringing home a number of men to Ballygawley after a night out in Bundoran on December 28th 2014.

McCarrick denied the charge but was convicted while an assault charge on Mr Kelly was taken into consideration.

On payment of the € 1,250 into court last Thursday, Judge Kevin Kilrane fined McCarrick € 200 on the criminal damage charge.
