Cocaine possession charge

A 25- year- old man who admitted a charge of cocaine possession was fined € 200 by Judge Kevin Kilrane.

Joseph McDonald of Butterrmarket, Quay Street was found to be in possession of € 20 of the drug after he was searched at Ballymote Garda Station on December 6th last.

The defendant had a previous conviction under the Drugs Act, for being intoxicated and for drunk driving.

Ms Laura Spellman, solicitor entered a plea to the offence.
