Grammar and Carbury expand play areas
SLIGO Grammar School and Carbury National School on the Mall have gotten the green light to expand their play areas.
The County Council has granted both schools permission to rearrange their outdoor recreation areas.
A portion of artificial grass play area next to the tennis court in the Grammar will now form part of Carbury’s play area.
The wall that divides the two schools will be lowered by half a metre to increase the visual connectivity between the two play areas which will both now form part of Carbury.
A new wall will be built between the two schools creating a new boundary between the two institutions. Sligo Grammar School will also create a new artificial grass play area near the gym.
