THE Qualifiers take centre stage next weekend as Sligo host Antrim at 5pm it would be brilliant to see great support to come out and support the team.

Sligo will host 2017 Féile na nÓg football Division 1 competitio­n on 24th June across the county. Sligo will have a team entered from North Sligo while the top young players from around the country.

The U14 hurlers went to the Connacht hurling Blitz where they played against Mayo and Galway. They are managed by Keith Raymond, Eolan McCarthy and Michael Larkin. The future is bright for these young hurlers despite the results on the night.

The Celtic Challenge dream came to end for Sligo as Armagh just had enough as they ran out 2- 13- 1- 12. The game was played at the GAA national centre in Abbotstown in Dublin. Big thank you to Dathi Hand and his management team for the effort all year.

In the Connacht Club hurling Féile Blitz which will take place in the Connacht Centre of Excellence, Sligo’s Castleconn­or and Benbullan Gaels will take part in the blitz.

Poc Fada for U16 and Senior will take place on the 23rd June any interest in taking part in the Poc Fada, Club representa­tives should contact Hurling GPO Benny Kenny by Friday 16th.

Best wishes to Sligo representa­tives in this year’s Hurling Féile who travel to Wexford/ Laois and Carlow this weekend – Naomh Eoin, Benbulben Gaels and Tourlestra­ne. Well done to Easkey who represente­d the county at national rounds at the weekend.
