A long tradition of community, team and individual participation
TUBBERCURRY/ Cloonacool is a successful community games club based in South Sligo with a long tradition of community, team and individual participation. From Paul Severs winning national silver in the Long Puck and Ryan Coleman in Ball Throw to our U13 Girls becoming Futsal National Champions in 2017, the club has went from strength to strength with numbers growing each year, reaching over 150 entrants in 2017.
Over the years we had had success with our tag rugby team winning national bronze and more recently in 2016, our U12 girls soccer team taking gold. We have proudly being represented at the national finals by our U13 choir, Aisling Guckian for swimming and Conor Kilcoyne, Cathal Surlis, Nicola Foley, Keverina Hannon, Moya King, Catriona King, Kelly Doyle, Sean Kerrigan, Liam Kerrigan, Ellen Kilcoyne, Caoimhe McDonagh, Cillian McCarrick and Hannah Kelleher to name a few.
The club is led by a dedication committee who volunteer their time from February to September each year overseeing individual and team events from art and cycling to Gaelic football and soccer. We look forward to developing the club further and taking part in community games into the future.
