The Sligo Champion

Proud moments every year

-

DROMORE West/ Templeboy community games was set up in 1991 by a committee of members Annie Harte, Mary Kilgallen, Noel Healy, Henry Judge, John Hughes and Marie Walsh and grew from strength to strength over the years.

Many Children have taken part at local level and went on to represent our area at national level most notably our Draughts team who won national titles at under 10,12,14 and 16 several years in a row and has been our most successful event to date.

A keen interest from athletics has stemmed from taking part in competitions in community games from a very young with some from our area enjoying the experience so much they went on to represent Ireland in events. We have been very lucky to win best turned out team on several occasions. Something we are very proud of.
