ST PATRICK’S SCHOOL

Congratulations to the children of St Patrick’s NS who made their First Holy Communion on May 21 Congratulations to Kevin Magee, Eoin Callaghan, Oran waters, Harry Mac Mullen, Rory Plunkett, Pierce Lenehan, Dylan Nicholson, Sophia Nicholson, Dani Henry and Ciaran Feeney. Thank you to Fr Michael, who had a beautiful ceremony for the children. Thanks also to their teacher Miss Karen Donagher, who prepared the children for their special day.

A big thank you to Mr Séamus McTiernan who accompanied and organised the choir. Thank you to the children who sang in the choir on the day. Thanks also to Kerrie Herity, who played during the mass. Thank you to the parents’ of First Class, who organised tea, coffee and treats for everyone afterwards in the hall. A huge thank you everyone who came and celebrated with the children on their special day.

CARRIGANS CEMETERY

There will be Mass in Carrigans Cemetery on Sunday, June 25 ( weather permitting) in memory of our friends and relatives. A collection will take place to continue the good work of maintaining the cemetery. We have not had a collection in almost two years.

Last year we received a generous donation from abroad. We get an annual grant of € 325 from Sligo County Council, which we are very grateful for. We depend on the community for the remaining funds. We are hoping for donations of € 20.00+ at this time to pay outstanding money due. Thank you for your consideration.
