BUSY WEEKEND

The upcoming weekend ( June 24 and 25) is set to be the busiest of the year around Ransboro with three big attractions.

First up on Saturday is the Ransboro 10k/ 5k run. Entry is € 15 and the 5k walk is € 5. Family entry for 5k run/ walk is € 20. Start time for the 5k is 5.30 p. m. and 5.45 p. m. for the 10k. You can register on coretiming. ie or in the school hall from 4 p. m. on the day of the race.

On Saturday night Ransboro Development Association are holding their summer barbecue in Coolera House from 9 p. m. Tickets are € 10 and are available from Coolera House or any committee member.

The 20th annual Strandhill Show and Craft Fair is on Sunday at Lisheen. It’s a fun day for all the family. Activities include; bouncy castles, pony rides, Kiltimagh Pet Farm, bee keeping, dog show, farm tasks, Sligo Concert Band, Scruffy Duffy and many more. Courtesy shuttle bus available from Strandhill car park to Lisheen hourly from 1 p. m.

Show admission is adults € 10, senior citizens € 5, children free. Promises to be a great day.
