LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Des McDonagh’s Bar on Saturday, June 10, for a jackpot of € 7,600. The numbers drawn were 1, 5, 14 and 22. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of € 7,700 will be held on Saturday, June 17, in Killoran’s Bar. The winners of € 20 each were Austin Gaffney, Lough Bo; Claire Conlon, Geevagh; Ciara O’Rourke, c/ o Paddy’s; Connor and Ita Lavin, Creevagh and Stools and Cooney, c/ o Shivnan’s/ Saddlers.

SCHOOL FUNDRAISING

Geevagh NS are currently raising funds for some improvements in and around the school. As the draw will take place shortly you are asked to buy your lines as soon as possible. Lines are € 2 each and the first prize is € 500 with other prizes also on offer. Some lines may be available on the cards in the local shops and businesses. Your support is much appreciated.

CEMETERY MASS

Mass will be offered on Sunday, June 25, in Kilmactranny cemetery at 7.30 p. m.

HOSPICE WALK

The annual summer walk in aid of North West Hospice has been organised for Tuesday, June 27, at 7.30 p. m. All meet at the Resource centre and it will take the same route as in previous years covering a distance of about 8km. There will be a cuppa afterwards in the Resource centre. Anyone, who would like to provide some home baking can leave it in on the evening. This event has proven very popular since its inception and is a great fundraiser for North West Hospice. All support on the evening will be greatly appreciated.

SUMMER SOLSTICE WALK

Carran Walking Club will celebrate the summer Solstice with a walk to Carrowkeel Megalithic Tombs at Castlebaldwin. This is usually one of the highlights of the year so do join. For more details talk to Peter at 087 2206763.
