SUNFLOWER DAY

Ballymote North West Hospice Committee held its annual Sunflower Day on Friday, June 9, and it was a great success. € 3,145.00 was raised on the day.

A big thank you to all those who came out on the day and supported us also to the wonderful collectors, some old and some new to the fundraisin­g scene, thank you for your help on the day, last but not least, thank you to all the business outlets who allowed us the space to fundraise for this wonderful cause.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on June 10 Numbers drawn were 1, 11, 13 and 28.

There were two match- three winners, names of winners are displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at € 6,600. The next draw will take place in Gormley’s Corner House on Saturday, June 24. Thank you for your continued support.

COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Local writer Rosaleen Glennon will read from her richly life- affirming chronicle of illness and joy ‘ No Spare Life’ at Ballymote Community Library on Friday, June 23, at 3 p. m.

Appreciati­on of how good life is jumps from the pages of ‘ No Spare Life’, a diverse collection of poetry, memoir and prose, documentin­g Rosaleen’s journey and recovery from cancer. Her words will speak to anyone who is facing challenges, whether from physical or mental ill- health or something else. Free event, all welcome.

FREE YOGA TASTER CLASS
