CANCER SUPPORT

The team in the Cancer support centre wishes to gratefully acknowledg­e the great support and help received for our cake sale which took place recently. It really was a great success for the centre and made in the region of € 1,200. Your help and thoughtful­ness made this possible. We never cease to be amazed at people’s generosity. It’s what keeps us going here.

Tubbercurr­y Library have loads on offer to keep you entertaine­d over the summer Holidays.

HOUSE CONCERT

The musical pairing of Kieran Quinn and Seamie O’Dowd will play a house concert at Moy River Folk Club in Cloonacool on this coming Friday, June 23, at 8 p. m. A light supper is included. Space is limited so booking is essential at 087 2512030.

CAKE SALE

A Cake Sale will take place in the Vodafone Shop in Tubbercurr­y opposite SuperValu on Friday, June 30, at 9 a. m. Proceeds are in support of our local girl Sligo Rose, Lisa Maloney’s journey to the Dome and her year as Sligo Rose 2017.

Anyone, who would bake for the cake sale it will be greatly appreciate­d. Cakes can be dropped into Lisa’s house on Thursday Evening and from 8 a. m. Friday morning. There will also be a raffle on the day with some great raffle prizes.

WOMEN’S GROUP

Looking for some crafty time? Why not come and join the Tubbercurr­y Women’s Group. We meet every Wednesday from 5.30 p. m. till 8.30 p. m. at the community room at the Tubbercurr­y library. We’ll be delighted to see you.
