FOOTGOLF FUNDRAISER

St Farnan’s GAA are holding a footgolf classic fundraiser at Queen Maebh’s Activity Farm in Ransboro on Sunday, June25. Teams consist of four players with one female player and one under- 18 player on each team. Entry fee is € 10 per player. If you wish to enter a team please contact Padraic Culkin at 087 6392624.

SCHOOL PLAY

Following the nomination at the Bord Gais Energy Student Theatre awards and public demand, Killeenduf­f National School‘ s play ‘ Granny Grudges’ will be staged in Easkey Community Centre on Tuesday, June 27, at 8 p. m. Family ticket comprising two adults and three children € 20, Adults € 7 and Student/ child € 3. Tickets are available from the school and from local shops. Please come along and support the school.

ALZHEIMERS TEA DAY

The Alzheimers tea day held in the home of Martin McDonnell, Farrellmac­farell, Dromore West raised a total sum of € 800. Thanks to all who contribute­d to the society.

The death has taken place in Ballina of Moll Roche, late of Cabra, Rathlee. Burial took place in St Patrick’s cemetry, Kilglass. Sympathy is extended to the Wright family, Leaffoneya­nd other relatives and friends.

10K WALK/ FUN RUN

Tireragh Branch of parents and friends and Cregg House ( in aid of people with Intellectu­al Disabiliti­es) is holding its annual 10k Sponsored Walk/ Fun Run on Sunday, July 2, starting at Dromore West Community Centre at 2.30 p. m. LATE MAGGIE STENSON

The death has taken place of Margaret ( Maggie) Stenson, Ballycummi­n, Easkey. Her remains were removed from McGowan’s funeral home to St James Church, Easkey for Requiem Mass and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to her sons, daughters, sisters, inlaws, grandchild­ren, relatives and friends.

WATER SAFETY COURSE

Congratula­tions to Olivia Mulkeen representi­ng Easkey Community Games on getting first place in the Sligo Community Games under- eight art competitio­n.

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on June9. Winners of € 25 were Conor Colleary, T. J. O’Brien, Olive Campbell, Geraldine McDonnell and Sr. Mary Kelly.
