Man ( 23) on fencing theft charge

A man has been remanded on bail at Sligo District Court on a charge of stealing 83 rolls of fencing from a premises in Ballisodar­e.

Before the court was Kyle Jinks of The Woodlands, Ballytivna­n who is charged with the alleged theft of the fencing worth € 2,200 from Herron and Sons, Ballisodar­e.

Jinks is also charged with entering McHale Saw Mills, Hazelwood Avenue on May 29th as a trespasser.

The defendant is further charged with the theft of a catalytic converter worth € 700 at Rosses Point between May 27th and 28th and with the theft of another catalytic converter at Quinn Fix, Drumiskabo­le worth € 700 between May 24th and 25th.

Judge Kevin Kilrane remanded the defendant on his own bail to appear again on September 28th.

The case has been listed for mention and election on the next occasion.
