Tidy Towns ask public to keep Sligo beautiful

“KEEP Sligo Beautiful” is the message from Sligo Tidy Towns chairperson Mr. Peter Tiernan as national adjudicators are due over the coming weeks.

“Sligo is a beautiful county and town and the adjudicators awarded Sligo a significant increase in marks last year in recognition of the hard work and planning of so many volunteers and Sligo people”

“We would like to maintain and increase our national standing and ask business owners and residents to help us by maintaining their local vicinities and keeping them neat and tidy”

Sligo increased its mark in 2016 from 273 to 285 however with a total of 450 marks on offer there is plenty of room to improve on the work already done.
