Farm Land Sales – 2017

-

LAND sales Auctioneer specialists REA McCarrick & Sons reports a very busy selling season for Agricultural land throughout Co. Sligo for 2017. With offices in Sligo Town and Tubbercurry, Firm Principal, Roger McCarrick pointed out:

“There was a reluctance to sell land during the years of the Recession due to reduced prices, but this built up delay has now been released, and 2017 saw a lot of land coming to the market due to a perceived pick up in prices and confidence in the economy”.

Just a few weeks ago Mr. McCarrick held an Auction of 4 different holdings in various parts of South Sligo and all sold either on the day or within a day or two after the Auctions.

“Farm income and profit from land remains low and farming is not for the faint hearted or for those looking for a quick return on their investment” stated Mr. McCarrick when asked about why people continue to invest in land.

“Investment in land is a long term strategy and an investment for future generations. It is also an investment in lifestyle” concluded Mr. McCarrick.

REA McCarrick & Sons continue to bring land to the market for the rest of 2017 and they have a number of interesting properties just coming to the market over the next few weeks in the West Sligo area – a part of Sligo renowned for its top quality land.
