90TH BIRTHDAY
Congratulations to Eileen Kenny of Main Street Enniscrone on her 90th birthday. Eileen celebrated with her two sons Michael Leo and grandchildren relations and friends. Eileen is wished many more happy years.

Enniscrone and District Community Development Ltd are holding a meeting/ powerpoint presentation on the place name variations Enniscrone/ Inniscrone/ Inishcrone that are in use at present. After the presentation a discussion on which spelling is most appropriate will be chosen by the community so feel free to come.

There was no winner of the € 8,500 jackpot last Saturday night when the draw took place in Hopkin’s Bar. Numbers drawn were 29, 30 and 32. € 25 winners were Philomena Kilcullen, Rose O’Loughlin, Michael Gordon and Mick Loftus. The jackpot for the next draw on Saturday, June 24, will be € 8,700.

ENNISCRONE- KILGLASS GAA
Our intermediate team had a comfortable 5- 14 to 0- 7 win over Easkey at Quigabar last Friday evening. Once again the squad was severely depleted but those present did enough to leave with the two points. Next Sunday evening the team host Tourlestrane in Quigabar from 5.30 p. m. in a must- win encounter. Your support would be appreciated.
Continued good wishes to all club players sitting state examinations over the next couple of weeks. Training continues for all minors and under- 16s who are free of exam commitments.
Our under- 14 boys play in the Division Two shield semi- final on Monday evening when they travel to Coola to play Shamrock Gaels from 7 p. m. Best of luck to the players and management.
Our under- 12s had a terrific 0- 21 to 0- 11 win over Tourlestrane last Wednesday evening. This is the team’s sixth win in succession and this was another impressive display away from home. They have a break this week before they host Curry on Tuesday week ( June 27).
Congratulations to the Kilglass NS Girls’ team on claiming the 4- teacher school county title last Sunday afternoon in Markievicz Park. This was a very impressive result and a great achievement; well to all the players, mentors and parents.
County Scene – Well done to Sligo on their 0- 22 to 3- 7 defeat of Antrim in round 1A of the qualifiers last Saturday evening. Commiserations to Michael Moyles and the Leitrim Senior footballers on their loss to Roscommon in the Connacht Championship last Sunday.
