SOUTHSLIGOSUMMERSCHOOL
The 301st South Sligo summer School of Irish Traditional Music, song and dance takes place in Tubbercurry from July 9 to July 15.
Following Aifreann an Domhnaigh in the Church of John Evangelist at 11.30 a. m. on Sunday morning July 9, the official opening by newly elected Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, councillor Séamus Kilgannon, takes place in St Brigid’s Hall at 7.30 p. m.
Swallows Tail céilí Band play for the opening céilí that night, starting at 8.30 p. m. and registration for all classes and workshops is also in St Brigid’s Hall from 8.30 a. m. on Monday morning, July 10.

OLD FAIR DAY FESTIVAL
The launch of the 32nd Tubbercurry Old Fair Day Festival takes place on Thursday, June 29, at 8 p. m. in Murphy’s Hotel in Tubbercurry. The five- day festival runs from Saturday, August 5, to Wednesday, August 9. If you are interested in helping out at this year’s festival come along on the night.
CAKE SALE
A Cake Sale will take place in the Vodafone Shop in Tubbercurry opposite SuperValu on Friday, June 30, at 9 a. m. Proceeds are in support of our local girl, Sligo Rose, Lisa Maloney’s journey to the Dome and her year as Sligo Rose 2017. Anyone, who would bake for the cake sale it will be greatly appreciated. Cakes can be dropped into Lisa’s house on Thursday Evening and from 8 a. m. Friday morning. There will also be a raffle on the day with some great raffle prizes.
ADVENTURE CAMP
