GOLD FOR RIVERSTOWN
Congratulations to Oisin Conlon, who took gold in the Cycling County finals held recently in Tubbercurry Gaelic Pitch. Oisin will now go on to represent Sligo at the national finals.
PLAYGROUND CAKE SALE
The recent playground cake sale was a huge success. Thank you to all those who baked or gave donations and those who came along to support the sale. Thank you to all who took part in the raffle and to the local businesses for the facilitating the raffle. The winner of the Trailer load of firewood was Paul Cogan and the winner of the hamper was Seán Lyons. Thank you to Francis Willis for chopping up all the wood and for the use of his trailer. The total raised from this event was € 1,647.
GARDEN FÊTE
All are welcome to a Garden Fête on Saturday, July 1, in aid of Taunagh Parish church in the Cooper Memorial Hall and grounds. From 2 p. m. to 5 p. m. enjoy a barbecue, children sponsored walk, stalls, cakes, afternoon tea, plants, home produce ( jams, preserves etc) bric- a- brac, toys, children games, children crafts, turf footing competition and much more.
SLIGO STAGES RALLY
The Sligo Stages Rally will base a Regroup Control at Sligo Folk Park, Riverstown on Sunday, July 9. Participants will be visiting the control on two occasions, each over a period of approximately one hour duration at 11.45 a. m. and 2.15 p. m. See the cars and crews close up in a family friendly, relaxed and safe environment. Ideal for photos, autographs and selfies.
DIFIBRILLATOR
The group wishes to express their gratitude for the very positive response they are continuing to receive at doors in the area. They would like to remind anyone who may not have got a ticket that they are for sale in all local outlets. The draw will take place at a community social night which will be held in Callaghans Bar on July 15. Any business wishing to sponsor the project can also contact us.
