Restrictions at Scoil Ursula NS

NEW traffic restrictions will be in place in time for the new school year at Scoil Ursula on the Strandhill Road, a meeting of the Sligo Municipal District was told.

Councillor Seamus Kilgannon had place a motion asking that action be taken to curtail speeding on the Strandhill Road at the school.

Senior Executive Engineer Brian Flynn replied that additional signage, road markings and parking restrictions would be carried out in August.

“Parents and the school will also have to play their prt and abide by the restrictions that will be in place,” he said.

News of the measures were welcomed by Cllr Kilgannon and Cllr Tom MacSharr y.
