Strandhill estate

IT was hoped that by the end of the year a recommendation would be made to take Dorrins Strand estate in Strandhill in charge, a meeting of Sligo Municipal District was told.

Director of Ser vices, Margaret McConnell said the council recently did a test of a sewers at the estate and road repairs were due to be completed this year.

It was hoped to recommend the taking in charge of the estate later this year once these repairs were done.

Cllr Chris MacManus said this news would be welcomed by the residents li ving there.
