Bottle banks

IT was always difficult to get a site for a bottle bank, CEO of Sligo County Council, Ciaran Hayes has stated.

“Ever yone wants one but not near them because of a number of issues including noise,” he told Cllr Tom MacSharr y at a meeting of Sligo Municipal District.

Cllr MacSharr y told the meeting there were no recycling facilites west of the Inner Relief Road and he sought a report about the possibilit y of locating one int he Maugheraboy area.
