Something’s fishy about this pudding
A new wild atlantic way pudding has just been launched. The unique combo of seaweed and black pudding is the brainchild of both Marc Torrades of Seashore Veg in Skreen and butcher Pat O’Doherty from Enniskillen.
The pudding has three different varieties of edible seaweed harvested from the Atlantic coastline.
Butcher Pat says: “I decided to develop the new pudding because seaweed is now seen as a healthy and nutritious food, often referred to as a superfood. It’s packed full of vitamins and minerals.
“I’ve blended the seaweed with Black Bacon and other traditional ingredients including Irish oats and herbs.”
So what does it taste like? Pat says: “The new pudding has a very rich and spicy flavour and is proving extremely popular with all those who have sampled it.”
Pat adds: “The new Wild Atlantic Way Black Pudding is aimed at lovers of this traditional food and at visitors who come to this part of the world to sample the Wild Atlantic Way.”
