Glenn selected for Regatta

SLIGO’S Glenn Patterson has been selected to represent his country at an international rowing regatta to be held at the purpose build rowing course at Strathclyde Park in Scotland on July 22nd this year. This is an annual event where the best club oarsmen and women are selected from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales and race for their respective nations over the straight 2000m course. Glenn has been selected to race in two boat categories, the men’s open 2x (double scull) and the men’s open 4x (quadruple scull) with other senior oarsmen from around the coun- try. This fantastic achievement marks just reward for the years of dedication and commitment Glenn has shown to his sport of rowing. This year’s training began for Glenn last September with his coaches Tommy Colsh and Molua Donoghue. INSET: Glenn Patterson.
