CEMETERY MASSES

The Cemetery Mass will be celebrated in Templerona­n Cemetery on Sunday, August 6, at 11 a.m. The Killaraght Old Cemetery Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, August 13, at midday.

RECENT BIRTH

Congratula­tions to Joan (McCormack) and Derek Donnelly, Newbridge on the birth on Friday, June 23, of twin baby girls Rowen and Evanne, sisters to Arwen and Tuiren.

SUMMER OUTING

The annual Gurteen Community Care outing will take place on Wednesday, July 19, to the Allingham Arms Hotel, Bundoran. Cost will be €30 which includes lunch, entertainm­ent and afternoon refreshmen­ts. Anyone, who would like to join them please leave your name into Mary Murphy at Gurteen PO before Friday, July 14. Bus leaves Health Centre at 11 a.m. This is always a great day out.

BINGO

Bingo is on every Friday night at 8.30 p.m. in Gurteen Hall the jackpot now stands at €2,300 on 49 calls or less with a lotto jackpot of €600. Profits are shared for the hall upkeep and the local GAA Club Eastern Harps.

NEW CLUBHOUSE

Eastern Harps has started work on its new clubhouse. Fundraisin­g ‘Buy a Block’ tickets are on sale. Draw for overall prizes to value of €4,000 on Friday, November 10. Also monthly draws May to November for garden equipment. Tickets are €5 or book of six for inclusion in all draws for €20. Support would be greatly appreciate­d.

COLEMAN CENTRE

The Michael Coleman story is a very special performanc­e which tells the story of the world renowned fiddle player Michael Coleman (1891-1945). This performanc­e brings to life the personalit­y and music of the 20 century’s most gifted and influentia­l traditiona­l musician and will run on this Wednesday, July 5, also on August 2 and August 23 at 8.30 p.m. This is a show not to missed.

A junior music session will take place every Saturday night through July and August. Fiona Doherty along with Coleman Centre musicians invite young musicians to showcase their talents in music, song and dance. BODHRAN TUITON

The Junior Davey Bodhran Academy in Ceolaras Coleman commenced on Monday, July 3, and continues to Friday, July 7, with world class tutors which suits beginners to advanced. On Tuesday night the group ’Seis’ will perform in concert. 5KM WALK

Hunnington’s Disease 5km walk will be on Saturday, July 12, at Lough Key Forest Park starting at 10.45. Suggested donation €5. info at hunnington­s.ie.
