Mountaineers on 33km trek
A group trekked a distance of 33.5km up the Benbulben Challenge walk recently all for charity.
Members from the Sligo Mountaineering Club completed the arduous walk of 33.5km recently to raise funds for the Sligo Cancer Support Centre.
Colm D’Arcy, Secretary of the Sligo Mountaineering Club said: “The members completed the walk as a sponsored walk in aid of the Sligo Cancer Support Centre.
“The group completed the Benbulben Challenge Walk, of 33.5km, with a 1513m accent in a time of 12 hours.
“They are pictured at the top of Benbulben Mountain at the end of a very long day.”
