Congratulations and well done to all the children who took part in the finals of art, cycling on grass, athletics, and field events. Congratulations to Rebecca Brett, who won Silver in the under-eight 80m, and Lara Gallagher, who won Bronze in the under-10 Art.

SUMMER SCHOOL

Best of luck to the South Sligo summer School which is taking place from this Sunday, July 9, to July 15.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

There is major concern among parents in the area regarding the school transport service operated by Bus Eireann to St Attracta’s Community School, Tubbercurry. A service that is in the area for over 40 years.

The Department of Education and Bus Eireann has been contacted, and we are told no decision has been made yet. All the parents are asking for is to retain the current level of service and route.
