Coolaney Tidy Towns seeking suggestions

-

COOLANEY/ROCKFIELD Tidy Towns committee are in the process of formulating a new five year plan and are currently seeking suggestions and ideas for improvements to the Coolaney/ Rockfield area.

The group are looking to gather as many ideas as possible from as wide a range of people so that the new plan will represent the views of the whole community.

Coolaney/Rockfield is the most successful area in County Sligo in the National Tidy Towns competition, having achieved the highest marks in the county numerous times over the years.

Last year, Coolaney/Rockfield were again awarded a silver medal and increased their score from 309 to 314 out of a possible 450.

Coolaney/Rockfield’s result was just 13 points lower than the 2016 overall winner, Skerries.

This year, they are aiming to increase their score further and hopefully move to the next level by securing a gold medal for the area.

Any ideas, no matter how small, are welcome and they can be submitted by direct message on Facebook/Twitter or by email at coolaneyrockfieldtidytowns@gmail.com before the deadline of 30 th September 2017.

Alternatively, you can contact any of the committee members - a list is available on the website.

This is your chance to make your views heard and play a part in the development of the area.

As always, new volunteers are always welcome, more information is available on our website, www.coolaneyrockfieldtidytowns.com, or contact them directly through our social media accounts.
