Knife accused goes back to Tubbercurry
A Tubbercurry man on a knife charge has been granted a change to his bail conditions to allow him return home.
20-year-old Charlie Ward of Parklands Crescent, Tubbercurry had been ordered to live in Sligo as one of his bail conditions.
He’s charged with having a stanley knife at Tubbercurry District Court last May 24 th.
Detective Garda Peter Cawley objected to the change in bail conditions, saying the other parties involved in the feud, while they had left Tubbercurry and were now living in Drumcliffe, still had other younger boys in their teens still living in Tubbercurry.
“It’s only a matter of time before they get involved,” he told Judge Kilrane.
The mother of the accused testified that she would take responsibility for Ward abiding by his bail conditions.
Judge Kilrane remanded Ward bail to July 26 th on condition he live at 9 Parklands, Tubbercurry, obey a curfew 9pm-9am and have no contact whatsoever with the Ward family from the Halting Site, including on social media.
