Collooney assault accused is given bail

A Collooney resident has been charged with assaulting a woman last week.

33-year-old chef Marcin Gendola, of Bru na hAbhainn, Collooney, appeared in custody before Sligo District Court last Thursday.

He was charged with assaulting Martyna Szatkowska at Bru na hAbhainn on July 4 th.

Judge Kilrane said Gendola would not be allowed return to the family home.

A friend agreed to put him up in his home temporarily.

He granted Gendola bail of ¤300 non-cash on condition he reside at 71 Rusheen Ard, have no contact with the alleged victim and stay away from that address in Collooney.

The case was adjourned to July 20 th next.
