Safety at Muddy Burns on N59

EFFORTS are being made to improve safet y on the N59 at the well-known family bar and restaurant Muddy Burns at Corballa.

CLLR Joe Queenan t abled a motion asking the Council to look for money to improve safet y there under the Low Cost Accident Scheme.

SENIOR Executive Engineer Paddy Hughes said the area was currently being sur veyed and investigated by the Road Design Department.

A feasibilit y repor t will be submitted to Transpor t Infrastructure Ireland.

“I’M happy with that,” said Cllr Queenan. “Muddy Burns is on a ver y, ver y busy road. Sight lines have to be improved there,” he said.
