Speeding at Rathlee N.S.

THE Enniscrone area engineer is to examine the current traf f ic calming measures at Rathlee NS on the R297 road.

I T’S af ter Cllr Joe Queenan asked the Council to allocate funding under the Clár funding to improve the existing traf f ic calming measures there.

THE Council said they failed to get Clár funding earlier this year but will look at it again and suggest fur ther traf f ic safet y measures subject to funding being secured.

CLLR Queenan said he was “hear tened” by the response and that something needed to be done in the shor t term.

CLLR Michael Clarke agreed it was a “significant area for speeding.”
