SUMMER CAMP

registration is now open for the Benwiskin Centre summer Camp, supported by Sligo County Childcare Committee, will run from Monday, July 24, to Wednesday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily and it iss suitable for 5-12 year old children. Unfortunately we cannot enrol children under five years.

Activities at the camp will include arts and crafts, nature projects and outdoor cooking. The camp will be run by 12th Sligo Ballintrillick Scouts Group leaders, assisted by the Benwiskin Centre staff.

‘BAT NIGHT’ WALK/TALK

As part of National Heritage Week, Ecologist Seán Meehan of the Irish Wildlife Trust is hosting a ‘BAT NIGHT’ at the Benwiskin Centre and the Gleniff Barytes Mill site on Sunday, August 20, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The evening will include a talk/presentation and refreshments at the Benwiskin Centre followed by a bat walk in the Ballintrillick area.
