Defibrillators for Sooey & Ballygawley

A community social marked the end of an eight week fundraising drive to purchase defibrillators for the Ballygawley and Sooey area. €11,820 was the final figure raised.

Speaking on the night, Chairperson, Ann Dorey thanked the whole community for their support over the past few weeks.

“A special thank you to everyone who sold tickets and to all our many business sponsors”.

PRO, Thomas Walsh stated: “We will be progressing with the purchase of three defibrillators, one of which will be located in Sooey at Sooey Hall, the second at Daybreak Mc Tiernans, Ballygawley and third at Kilross National School.

The committee will be continuing with CPR training over the coming weeks.
