Yeats Summer School highlights

The Yeats Internatio­nal Summer School kicks off this week, with a huge array of talks, lectures and events. Paula Meehan, Chair of Irish Poetr y, Professor of Poetr y 2013, will be in attendance. She will speak at the official opening, before hosting an evening reading on Friday.

Lectures and seminars take place ever yday throughout the event, with novelist, journalist and writer Colm Tóibín will be delivering a talk on Monday, July 24, which is sure to attract a huge crowd.

Lectures take place each weekday morning at 9.30am and 11.15am in the Hawk’s Well Theatre.

The daily programme is as follows: 9.30am - lecture 1, Hawk’s Well 11.15am - lecture 2, Hawk’s Well 1.15pm - lunchtime events, Methodist Church, Wine Street

2.30 - 4pm - Seminars, Yeats Memorial Building

8pm - Evening events, Methodist Church, Wine Street

All events are open to the public except the seminars.

Full price of attendance at the summer school i €650, the poetr y workshop costs €100.
