SonorPlex wins top prize at tech awards

Sligo based event software company SonorPlex has taken top prize in the Best Technology Category at the 2017 Event Industry Awards. SonorPlex Managing Director Niall O’Connor (pictured below receiving his award) said: “It’s really wonderful to get recognition on home turf, particularly as there were a number of international judges included on the panel. We’ve delivered most of our work to date in the international market but we’d like to raise our profile here in Ireland and deliver more services at Irish events.”

Founded by Sligomen Niall O’Connor and Barry Gildea, the company has provided interactive services for tens of thousands of conference delegates around the world, including high profile events for pharmaceutical giants, Novartis, GSK and Astra Zeneca. The journey has taken SonorPlex to events as far west as San Francisco and as far east as Kuala Lumpur.
