Undertaking that signage will be improved at junction

Senior Engineer Paddy Hughes informed Councillor Dara Mulvey that the council would look at improving signage at a south Sligo junction.

Cllr Mulvey said traffic turning on to the R293 going for Sligo or the N4 at the junction of L1602 and R283 coming from Templehouse had to go to the opposite side of the road to get out. He stated that traffic going into Ballymote also had poor visibility.

Mr Hughes said it would be very difficult to source funding but the Council would consider improving signage on the approach from Sligo.
