COUNTRY MARKET

Drummartin Country Market (9km out the Ballina road from Tubbercurr­y, on right besides Joe Dan’s Pub) is open every Saturday, 10.30 to12.30. The big event on the 29th July is a fundraiser for Sligo Rose, Lisa Maloney. First off, bring a rose from your garden competitio­n, which will be judged on colour, size and smell. Judging will take place at 12pm, with a prize sponsored by Nature Inspires. A kid’s workshop, where they can make bird kites. Plus, they are raffling a fantastic hamper full of goodies from the market. And live music will accompany the festivitie­s from 11am–12noon. As usual they have a fantastic range of Home Baked Goods, Free Range Eggs, Organic Dexter Beef,Organic Lamb and Organic Vegetables by Crimlin Farm, Rose’s plants, wood turned products, Jackie’s baskets and many other crafts from knitted to printed! GRAVEYARD MASS

The Annual Graveyard Mass will be held in Kilmactigu­e New Cemetery on Friday 4th August at 8pm. There will be a collection during Mass for the upkeep and maintenanc­e of both cemeteries in Kilmactigu­e. Refreshmen­ts will be served in the Community Centre after Mass.

BINGO

Bingo every Tuesday night at Banada Abbey. €1,600 guaranteed payout every night, full house €200 on flier game and €150 on last game. New 50:50 draw each night. First game at 8.30pm sharp.
