CUL CAMP

Well done to the 175 kids who set a new record attendance for the local GAA Cúl Camp at Oxfield.

The North West Simon Community wish to express sincere thanks to all who contribute­d to a recent Church Gate Collection at Rathcormac for the local homeless charity and to the volunteers who assisted on the day.

AN EVENING WITH BUDDY

An evening with one of Nashville’s most prolific singer songwriter­s, Buddy Mondlock, takes place at Drumcliffe Church next Monday evening, July 31st, starting at 8pm. DRP CLUB DRAW

Tickets for the new 2017/2018 Drumcliffe Rosses Point GAA

Club Lotto are now on sale at €50 which includes entry to 12 monthly draws as well as an All-Ireland final ticket draw. The jackpot starts at €4,450! Lotto tickets are available from any club officer.

NEAL EGAN MOTOR SHOW

The 10th annual Neal Egan Classic Motor Show 2017 takes place at IT Sligo on Sunday August 6th. This is one of the country’s biggest Ford shows and includes trade stands, static car show, a scenic car run and much more.

HOSPICE CYCLE

A date for your diary a fundraisin­g cycle is being organised locally to raise funds for the Northwest Hospice. The event will take place on Saturday September 2nd and will involve 60km and 100km cycle routes. More details in the coming weeks.

OXFIELD UPDATE

The new dressing room, ladies toilets, wheelchair accessible toilet and baby changing facility at Oxfield are almost complete with just a few finishing touches outstandin­g. Well done to all involved in bringing this project to fruition.

Meanwhile the Oxfield Management Committee is busy applying for additional grant aid to assist in the delivery of the second new dressing room and the conversion of the existing squash court.

Finally, in order to help keep the Oxfield Community Centre safe and secure for all, a new CCTV camera system is being installed in the coming days.
