North West Hospice Church Gate collection­s will take place at Easkey and Dromore West on August, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6.

WEDDING BELLS

The wedding of Emma O’Reilly of Charlton London and Andrew Unwin of Dartford Kent took place in St James church in Easkey on July 15 .Emma’s dad John James was a native of Easkey before emigrating to the UK in 1972.

Congratula­tions to Joseph Rolston , son of Mary and Sean Rolston, Easkey and Camille Piegay who were married on July 5.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

St Farnans GAA club are hold- ing an old clothes collection on Tuesday, August 1. Bags of Clean unwanted clothes, belts, paired shoes, bed linen(no duvets or pillows) and towels can be left in the girls home dressing room during training or you can contact 087 2673879 .

CEMETERY MASS

Roslea Cemetery Mass and blessing of graves will be held on Friday, August 4 at 7pm.

DEATH

The death has taken place on Annie Connor, nee Dunleavy , Ballymeene­y , Dromore West . Her remains were removed from her residence to St James Church, Easkey for Requiem Mass and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to her sons , daughters , brothers, in laws, grand children , great grand children, relatives and friends.

SOCIAL DANCE

A social dance will be held in Skreen/ Dromard community centre on Saturday, July 29. Music for dancing supplied by Brendan Mc Gee.

FIT CLASSES

MJ Fitness is holding Fight Fit and Flex Fit classes in Easkey Community Centre every Tuesday. Fight Fit class at7-8 pm and Flex Fit class at 8-9 pm.Cost is €12 per class or €40 for 4 classes. Contact Maria 0830311686.

GRADUATION

Congratula­tions to the 32 students from Colaiste Iascaigh who graduated on Friday, July 14. Celebratio­ns began with Mass in St James Church followed by a meal together with their parents in the Ocean Sands Hotel.

FOOTGOLF CLASSIC

St Farnans GAA club have rearranged the footgolf classic fundraiser for Sunday, July 30 in Queen Meabh’s Activity Farm in Ransboro. First round kicks off at 1pm, anybody that wants to enter a team please text Padraic Culkin on 087 6392624 to book your place. Teams consist of 4 players and cost €10 per player. Each team must have a female player and an u18 player. There will be prizes for overall winners, best family team and also a hole in one competitio­n.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on July 14 .Numbers drawn 6 9 27 35. Winners of €25 were Mary Ferguson, Michael Weir, Nellie Browne, Terry Cawley, and Greham Stewart. Promoters prize Easkey P.O.. Next jackpot €5,000 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the Community Centre at 8.30 on Friday night. The Lotto now is available on line.
