Refused to give name to Gardaí

A man seen drunk on Grattan Street has been fined for refusing to give his details to Gardaí.

John Harte (35) of Shragh, Cloonloo, Boyle, pleaded to the offence at Sligo District Court.

Noting his previous convictions for drink driving, Judge Kevin Kilrane said “having one or two too many seems to have become a habit” for Harte.

He fined him ¤200.
